The Library lists every widget and report your role can open. You open a report here to read it, filter it and export it, and you pin widgets and reports from here to your dashboard.
Before you start
- The Library is part of the Enterprise plan. On another plan the page shows an Advanced Analytics card with an Upgrade to Enterprise button instead.
- Most market reports also need a report that ClientSynq turns on for your organization. Each report article says which one.
- Your role needs the View Analytics Dashboard permission (owners and admins always have it). Without it the page says "You don't have permission to view the library."
- To use Sync Data you need to be an owner or administrator, or have a role with the Sync Analytics Data permission. See Create roles and set permissions.
Open the Library
- In the sidebar, click Library.
- Choose a tab:
- Reports lists the full-width reports. This tab opens by default.
- Widgets lists the tile and half-width widgets, the Market Scorecard, and your saved tiles under My tiles. The number beside each tab is how many items it holds.

Find an item
Items are grouped by subject, in this order: Overview, Sales, Revenue & Receivables, Food Access, Weather, Vendors, Attendance, Files. A subject shows only when your role can see at least one item in it.
Each item is one row:
| Part of the row | What it does |
|---|---|
| Title | Click it to expand or collapse the item. Hover to read the full title and a description. |
| Size badge | Tile, Half or Full: how wide the item is on the dashboard. |
| Pin | Pins the item to your dashboard. See Pin reports and save tiles. |
| Arrow | Expands or collapses the item. |
Nothing loads until you expand a row, so the page stays quick. You can expand several rows at once.
Who sees what
Two things decide which items you see:
- Your organization's features. An item appears only when your plan, or a report ClientSynq turned on for your organization, includes it.
- Your role. Owners and admins see every item the organization has. Other roles see the items the owner allows on Team Management › Widget Access. Until someone saves that page, every role sees every item. See Choose what each role sees on the dashboard.
If a tab has nothing for you, the page shows Nothing here yet. Owners and admins see a pointer to Widget Access; other roles are asked to contact their administrator.
Refresh the data with Sync Data
Reports that read QuickBooks use a copy of your QuickBooks data that ClientSynq refreshes every night. Use Sync Data when you need today's changes sooner.
- Click Sync Data at the top right of the Library. Last sync beside it shows the date of the last sync.
- The Syncing Analytics Data... window opens and works through Customers, Items, Classes, Departments, Invoices, Line Items and Daily Summaries. Keep the window open until it finishes.
- When you see Analytics Sync Complete!, click View Analytics Dashboard to close the window and reload the Library.
If the sync fails, the window shows the error with Retry Sync and Close. A sync that times out picks up where it left off when you retry.

Good to know
- Before the first sync the Library shows Data not synced yet. Click Sync Data once to fill the QuickBooks reports.
- Sync Data shows and works for owners, administrators and anyone whose role has Sync Analytics Data.
- Each report shows as of with a date and time at its top left: when its figures were computed. The small refresh icon beside it recomputes that one report now.
- Some reports use archived history, some use the nightly QuickBooks copy, and a few read QuickBooks live. Each report article explains where its numbers come from.
